As we grow older, as men, we start to realize that our fathers and mentors don't have all the answers. What's worse is that we begin to see their faults and shortcomings. For some, this is merely the beginning of grace for humanity, in it's fallibility. But, for others, this realization becomes  a conflict that devolves into resentment, bitterness, and deep rifts in their relationships. This song is about the latter.

Ivory Hill depicts the the selfish mentors and father-figures who gracelessly judge from their usurped positions of power, and exposes them for what they are. It is the hard line that needs to be drawn when a boy says "enough", and begins to focus on becoming his own man. Ivory Hill is not for the faint of Heart, but for the broken-hearted who need to sever toxic relationships in order to heal.

How does a Christian do this in a healthy and holy way?
